Katherine L. McDonald PA-C

Katherine (Katie) McDonald, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant who has been proud to provide high-quality women’s health care at Generations OBGYN since 2015.

Katie attended Grand Valley State University where she graduated with her Bachelors in Health Professions and a minor in Business in 2009. She then earned her Masters degree while attending the University of Toledo College of Medicine, Physician Assistant Program. Katie established a broad patient care foundation during her first PA position working as an inpatient internal medicine PA for 3 years. Katie’s dream was to work in women’s health and was thrilled to join the Generations family in 2015.

Katie is committed to providing high quality and comprehensive care to women at all stages of life. Katie is passionate about adolescent care and her goal is to make a young person’s first visit to the gynecologist comfortable, informative, and helpful. Katie is well versed in providing comprehensive contraception care and sexual health counseling to all patients. Additionally, her clinical interests include obstetrical care, well-woman care, menstrual cycle management, and fertility concerns.

Katie has pursued additional education and training in breastfeeding medicine and is passionate about supporting new mother and baby dyads during their feeding journeys. She offers open-minded and inclusive in office lactation support for new parents. Katie understands the many struggles new parents can face during the newborn period and makes it her goal to support mothers both physically and mentally.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 children and their sweet dog. She enjoys barre workout classes, traveling, pool time and golfing with her family.
